Quicklinks

Quicklinks

Overview

Quicklinks provide a powerful way to save time by storing frequently accessed URLs, file paths, and deeplinks. They can be organized and quickly accessed through root search, custom shortcuts, as well as in the Search Quicklinks command.

Create Quicklink

To create quicklinks, use the Create Quicklink command in root search and:

  • Fill the URL, deeplink, or file path
  • Select a name and icon that makes it easy to recognize
  • Add tags or assign existing ones to organize

Dynamic Placeholders

You can make your quicklinks dynamic by using placeholders. Just hit { to open the Dynamic placeholders menu and see all currently supported ones.

Here’s what’s available at this point:

UUID
{uuid}
Inserts a universally unique value, such as “E621E1F8-C36C-495A-93FC-0C247A3E6E5F”.
Clipboard Text
{clipboard}
Inserts your last copied text. The placeholder will be removed from the quicklink when you use it if you have not copied any text recently.
Date
{date}
Inserts only the current date like 1 Jun 2025.
Time
{time}
Inserts only the current time like 3:05 pm.
Date & Time
{datetime}
Inserts both date and time like 1 Jun 2025 at 6:45 pm.
Weekday
{day}
Inserts the day of the week like Monday.
Argument
{argument}
Add an input in the search bar. The placeholder will be replaced by the argument’s value. You can add a maximum of 3 different arguments.

When an Argument dynamic placeholder is added, you will be allowed to fill the argument within the Navigation bar before opening the highlighted Quicklink.

Search Quicklinks

You will find all the quicklinks you created in the Search Quicklinks command.

Inside that view, you will be able to search by name or hit Ctrl P filter by the tags you created.

You can also quickly find your Quicklinks directly in Root search.

Actions

With a quicklink highlighted, you will be able to hit Enter to open it.

Hit Ctrl K and access the following actions:

  • Edit Quicklink Ctrl E
  • Duplicate Quicklink Ctrl D
  • Copy Name Ctrl Shift C
  • Copy Link Ctrl Alt C
  • Create New Quicklink Ctrl N
  • Delete Quicklinks Ctrl Delete
  • Delete All Quicklinks Ctrl Shift Delete

Shortcuts

Assign custom Hotkeys that open your quicklinks directly, without the need to launch Raycast, as well as Aliases, in order to quickly find them in root search. To assign those, go the Shortcuts tab in Raycast Settings (Ctrl ,) and find the quicklinks you created. You can also do that within the dedicated Quicklinks tab.

Settings

In the Quicklinks tab in Raycast Settings you will be able to:

  • Choose whether you would like to show link previews
  • Assign shortcuts to Search Quicklinks and other associated commands
  • Assign shortcuts to all the quicklinks you created
