Our Run command is a modern replacement for the classic Windows Run dialog. Instead of memorizing commands, you can browse, discover, and run everything your system offers, directly from Raycast. In Raycast Run you can:
- Access and manage your run history, (backwards compatible with Windows Run dialog).
- View human readable descriptions for system tools, CPL applets and MMC snap-ins.
- Search and launch Windows applications (like
notepad, calc, mspaint) - Search and launch Windows system tools ( like
regedit, cmd, taskmgr) - Search and open Control Panel applets (
appwiz.cpl,ncpa.cpletc) - Search and open Microsoft Management Console snap-ins (
certmgr.msc,diskmgmt.mscetc) - Navigate to directories (like
C:\Users,\\server\share,%appdata%, or%appdata%\Microsoft) - Run registered URIs (like
shell:Recent, shell:startup, shell:RecycleBinetc) - Execute run commands directly from the root search.
Pro Tip: To keep your muscle memory, you can set the Hotkey for the Run command to win+R to open Raycast instead of the Run dialog.
