Keyboard Shortcuts

This page only applies to Raycast for Mac V1. Latest information for Raycast for Mac V2, Windows, and iOS is available in the New Raycast Manual.

Jumping around Raycast shouldn’t be difficult. Getting from A to B should be easy, and from B to A should be just as simple. We’ve designed Raycast in a way to make things easier for you, and speed up your process.

The following shortcuts will work anywhere within Raycast:

  • esc will take you back to the previous page
  • esc will take you back to the main search page
  • W will close the Raycast window
  • , will open Raycast preferences
  • N or P can be used to move down or up in any list view

Most Raycast windows will have an action panel with actions associated to a list item or a detail view. The following are some common shortcuts associated with list items in the root search.

  • , to open the selected item in Preferences
  • , to open the group of the selected item in Preferences
  • F to add or remove an item favorites
  • and to move a favorite item up and down the list

You will find all the above actions in the Action Panel.
